What is Self - Help ?

A question I get asked a lot, and the answer is quite conclusive

if you have a look at this link from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation

Music Therapy.

I have always been a great advocate on the benefits of music in general, let alone using music as a stand alone Therapy in Mental Health. I can always remember the first time I heard a particular song or piece of music/where I was/who I was with etc etc.... So music helps me remember things as well as making me 'feel good' about the emotions it brings to the surface !

Here is my recent favourite song, and I haven't grown tired of it despite hearing it most days since it's release ....

.

Walking.

There are lots of walking/rambling clubs that cater for all levels of walking.

Buxton Rambling Club is the local one for this area and they have a website ~

http://www.buxtonramblingclub.co.uk

Walking is a cost effective way to exercise and be socially inclusive at the same time.

Pilates.

Pilates is a nice way to exercise and I can personally recommend it.

I do one hour of Pilates each week.
